Rim size

I just had a question on rim sizes for my Z4:dunno . Would 19x9.5 fit in the rear, and 19x8.5 fit in the front. If so, I'm open to any Ideals on rims if you have any photos, that would be great. :thanks

I believe those sizes will fit the Z4, but i'm not a Z4 owner to be sure.

I think people's tastes for wheels is so varied, my own opinions might not mean very much. When i shop for wheels i look at three factors: light weight, design/styling, and price, and in that order of diminishing priority.

That said, I really like the SSR GT3 design. I have those on my car and you can see picture of them in my self-intro thread just below yours. I also generally like BBS wheel designs too, but they tend to be expensive. An alternative to BBS are companies that have licensed old BBS designs and fabrication techniques. In particular, one such company seems to be ASA. I like the ASA AR2 and AR1 lines. You can see pictures of all these wheels at tirerack.com.

Man those rims are :yum. I like that style and mesh type. I was thinking of the Axis Penta, you can see them at www.axiswheels.com. I like those too. but I guess I wanna check somemore out before I commit to buy some costly rims. :thanks

And your Z3 is really nice:yum

I've never seen those Penta wheels before. I like it!! And looking at their website, 25lbs for a 19" wheel is a pretty good weight to radius ratio...

however, if you like that type of design (which I do), take a look at the ASA AR1 or AR2 wheels. if you like the design and weight (they are light), then look at the price! (see tirerack.com)

ASA AR1 or AR2 I Like

Yeah I checked that site and the ASA AR1 or AR2 look really nice. And the price is really good also. The best price I've gotten for the pentas was 1200 with tires and mount everything, What do you think. Well thanx for the site.:woot

Yeah, that's pretty decent for a new set of wheels. I paid about $3000 for my set of 18" SSR GT3 and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires.

I really wanted the SSR GT3 so I got them, otherwise I would have spent much less and gotten the ASA AR1. I had been eyeing the SSR GT3 for a couple of years, but couldn't get myself to spend that kind of money on wheels. But then, SSR went bankrupt and the GT3 wheels went out of production for a little over a year. When buying the GT3 wheels was no longer an option, I realized I should have gotten them. Last year, SSR finished re-organizing and started producing the GT3 wheels again and tirerack had them onsale. When I saw that, it was easy to pull the trigger this time around.

I guess it's true... you don't realize how much you want something until you can't have it at all.

yup I know what you mean. Yeah I think I'm gonna go with the pentas. Cause I've had my eye on those for about two months, but wasn't really sure if they would fit. But after getting reassured that they would, what the heck... Plus if haven't seen any Z4 fours with that style around my area anyway. thanks alot...
