I’m having a problem of recent with locking my driver’s side door on my 99 BMW 323i. It hasn’t been more than a year ago that I had to replace the door handle b/c it broke and wouldn’t open the door. Now, the door will not lock from the outside using the key. If I am seated inside the car with my key in the ignition, I can press the lock button on the center console and the door will lock. The lock on the outside of the car simply does nothing. The worst part is that my FOB isn’t programmed correctly (after the battery went flat), so I have now way of effectively locking my BMW. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might e? How to fix it, DIY, price? Thanks
