z3 price drop

I've noticed lately that z3 are getting really cheap compared to a couple years ago. But still, in NC there are not too many around. anyone know specs on the 4 cyl z3's. problems?

Yo! No problems! It's the intro of the Z4 that is finally catching on. No worries, I think

Yeah, I've never riden in a Z3, but I've heard they're quick little cars with nice handling. Similar to the miata only a bit faster I believe.

exactly. Plus they look better than a miata, and they age better

They can be pretty scairy cars when your driving next to any type of truck with 10 or more wheels. You glance out the window and your about 3 ft off the road with limited room between you and the door. Dont get me wrong there fun cars to drive if your 5,8 but for the people that are 6 and over it starts getting cramped. And if you get one you most def. need a 2.8, 3.0 or the M. The 3.0's are so much fun to drive compaired to the 4 cyl model.

Haha, very true. Tractor Trailers > Z3. haha

I'd get the M Roadster before a z3 though.

And terp, also a good point about the looks. Z3 looks WAY sexier than the Miata.

I actually wanted a z3 for a LONG time.

My mother got a Z3 a couple years ago, and I fell in love with it right away. I can get alittle harry driving around large truck, but that just adds to the fun.

its not really a scary feeling, its a unconfortable feeling. I dont really know anyone that just loves cruising beside a 18 wheeler. Maybe you do, but with something that big there are many blind spots, in which a little z3 has a lesser chance of being seen, leading to an accident.

And its not like a 3 series is THAT much bigger anyway. Personally I love the people that are to scaired to pass a truck on a highway, they just sit behind it in the fast lane and do nothing. Now those people are true whimps.

Yeah - it's extremely irritating, and not safe - and truckers hate having people sit next to them so there is no way to change lanes if something happens

The only problem I have in my z3 is the left rear visibility. Whenever I merge left or right I always look before I merge. In the z3 the visibility to the left rear is pretty bad, so I have to rely on the mirror and even then, I can never be 100% sure there is nobody back there.

Yah, looking to your side and seeing where you could go underneath the tractor trailer can be pretty scary.

Just bought mine three months ago. Low milage '98 2.8 - had to have it and had to pay more than blue-book to get it.

I hate driving by trucks. I actualy coast behind them in my lane (with them in the other lane) so that they can see me well (remember, if you can't see their mirrors, they can't see you) and wait till teh car in front of me iis far enough ahead that i don't have to spend more time beside the truck than i have to and kinda power past it (there's no flying past it in the navi, so the word of the day is power)
