Dead pixel repair then to warning lights?!?!?!

Im looking for some help, i had the dreaded dead pixel problem on my 2001 petrol X5 dash display and had the chance of a second hand instrument cluster which i purchased now after fitting the replacement unit the pixels are fine but now the DSC, brakepad sensor and airbag warning lights have all lit up on the cluster?? there was no problems with this before i changed the instrument cluster, any ideas people??

I used to have that issue on an 96 e38 never on my e53. i have read of a diy fix on x5world.com. it involved taking the cluster out and changing a wire and refitting, no new parts i.e. cost other than time. i was naive when it happened to me and had to replace cluster a few times. good luck
