X5 Transmission Pan

Just had transmission pan (plastic) replaced on my 2008 X5 with 50K miles. Has anyone else had this expereience? Is this a recurring problem?

The transmission pan is PLASTIC??? Thats a first. I hope you had it replaced with a metal one! The transmission pan doesnt normally need replacement. However the gasgets need to be replaced if the pan is ever taken off. Replacing the filter is a good idea as well.
