Faulty heater/AC blower 2002 X5 4.4i?
Any advice for my heater/AC blower? It puts out air/heat but the fan does not blow forcefully anymore. Ever since I bought the car with 67K miles, I noticed a squeek related to the blower fan. Sometimes it was there, sometimes it went away. It changed with the speed of the fan. Then it stopped sqeeking, but the fan put out very little force and it takes forever to defrost the windshield, etc. I then changed the cabin air filter. But that didn't correct the problem. I don't know if the cabin filter had ever been changed before.
I've read a little about the blower motor and also the resistor. I don't know where either of these things are on my model. I'd be willing to troubleshoot this problem myself but I'm looking for a little advice before getting in there.
Thanks for any advice!!!
