Your Ride: 2003 X5
Maintenence Agreement
Hello,
The warranty on my 2003 X5 is up in about 50 miles so I have to decide today whether or not to purchase the 2 year maintenance agreement. The cost is over $1300 and it will cover brakes, etc. Does anyone out here know if it's worth the cost? I plan on keeping my X5 for at least 2 more years. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
you need to read the fine print on maintenance agreements - brakes are a normal wear out item that they USUALLY don't cover. (similar to bulbs, wipers, tune ups & oil changes) they usually cover engine parts, transmissions etc. I'd go over the agreement with a fine tooth comb & find out EXACTLY what it covers - have them(dealer & service dept.) underline exactly what it covers then you'll be able to decide if it's worth your $$$ - be leary also, ALL dealers do NOT honor other dealers extended warranties - they're aftermarket insurance companies and not actual BMW warranties and they vary from dealer to dealer.

I think the extended warranty would be a good idea. I wish I would have renewed mine, and it has cost me a lot not too. I agree with C1 to check over the contract well.
