Ya, that is RIGHT near my house. My girlfriend's parents had to be evacuated late last night. So far their house is fine. Let's hope it stays that way.
The fire hasn't gotten too close to my house yet, but it's probably only 10-20 miles away.... maybe a little more.

^^^ yes, that is fairly close, but it would have to jump the 101 (a major freeway) in order to get to my house. The freeway should be a good fire barrier

get a good wind and not even a free way can stop it. its happend before sadly. hope ur house is ok
^^ yea i saw video on CNN with firefighters in people's backyards with huge hoses trying to save some nice houses.
One of those "nice houses" was my sister's. Her house is over there, surrounded on 3 sides by fires, and the freeway on the 4th side. Police came to her house last night at 3am and evacuated them (in their pajamas still). They're staying in a hotel right now, very scared that they might lose their house (worth around $800,000).
