San Diego BMW Z car club discovers Boulder Creek Rd
Our club went for a drive this weekend. It was mainly a discovery drive to check out some unfamiliar roads. In particular, I was interested in Boulder Creek Rd as an alternative route to Julian.
We met in the morning of Feb 4th, 9AM. Drove through and around Lyons Valley and then proceeded up to the 79. We then broke off to the west to find Boulder Creek Rd.
As we proceeded several miles north from there, we ran out of pavement (see photos of end of the road). So this settles our internal debate of whether that road was paved yet or not. After doubling back to the 79, we headed north again and took Engineers Rd through to Pine Hill and hit the 78 to Julian. Lunched at the Cowgirl Cafe and mingled a little.
