sounds nice man, but wouldn't a system U exhaust with track pipes, or maybe even without track pipes be louder?

personally, not a fan, but whatever. i don't think bmw's should be annoyingly loud. it goes against the whole class and style aspect of owning a BMW.

bimmers (and most european cars) are not like japanese cars in that respect, they are not made to be whisper quiet, even in stock configuration, unlike cars from the far east. . .

Thanks Guys!

All comments & criticism are certainly welcome. I expect a certain number of people to find the noise totally obnoxious.

But as a motorsport enthusiast I think driving should be a visceral experience. From the cockpit I want to be able to sense every change in the road surface, hear the wail of the motor, and feel the G's when I nail the throttle. I guess that's my "Mod Philosophy."

Personally I find nothing more unsatisfying than that indistinct whooshing sound many stock, naturally-aspirated cars make. haha, it makes me wanna take a nap while behind the wheel.

i agree to a certain extent, its really a difference between driving and riding.

last year we had to drive a 2004 camry around while the bimmer was in the shop, that think drove so smoothly i didnt know i was even moving. some might like that, not me. i felt like going to sleep all the time. . .like the car is babying me. . .
