So I drove down there last week in a rental truck, got myself set up with an apartment...gstarted shool at FSU and I had to comeback to NYC this week for my car and to go to court tommorrow for a seatbelt tix I got way back in March...
there is no city ...but whatever it is they call city down here (tiny by NYC standards...) is basically a plot of land with tall buildings on it that surround city hall and main st. and FSU campus...It's Leon County...I'm about 10 minutes drive north east from campus. I haven't been much of anywhere else...yet...
but it doesnt look like much outside the campus and city hall.
Jacksonville...seemed busy though and more diverse...but it's like 2-3hrs drive east from where i'd be nd the closest "real airport"

Yeah, I'll open the first E36 BMW mod shop in Leon County!
I think I'm the only BMW in town so far...
Rich folks here drive Mercs and everybody else drives F150 pick up trucks or SUV truck, Neons, or Saturns!

Your Ride: Whatever I can get my hands on
we have mountain bikes and i drive an 87 chevrolet custom truck to work with no power steering and a brake pedal an easy 3" higher than the gas pedal. When i get to work, i drive a baco (sp?) bobcat and play with chainsaws. I live on the worlds larget campus at 28,000 acres and more deer per square mile than people. there is exactly one BMW that isn't riced out. stop your bitching.

nah...I don't mind having the only BMW...actually I plan on getting a NOAH cover for my car and letting it sit during the week and only driving her on dates and weekends.
I'm going to Target and getting one of those cheapo "JEEP" brand sport bicycles with the fancy suspension and brakes for like $99...I plan on using that as my daily beater..since its does'nt seem like it's gonna get cold there anytime soon and everything is flat and fairly close to me..

Nah it's a condo-like apartment...but I'm glad you asked...because across the road and down the road I swear I've never seen so many "mobile-style" homes in my life. I forgot to mention that. If this is a southern thing because it's not like poor people living in them, it's like middle class folks with decent cars parked infront and swimming pools/trampolines at the side or back yard.
They don't rent those out (i think)...I found my 1 bedroom on Rent.com. Alot of FSU students live here. My apartment is like a summer camp cabin style shack with two apt. per unit. and they are like ten units in my cul de sac. and they are like 5 cul de sacs of unit that the company owns. The population is sparse, and alot of people are from GA and south FL.
