That's called "match" or "grudge match" racing. I've done that before with my bird and it's really a weird feeling. I was up against a 6 cyl Nova and it seemed like they gave him 3/4 track head start before giving me green lights... I came out of the box with my ass on fire & still beat him by 5 car lengths. But it was weird sitting at tree watching him get further away & debating "is this really worth wasting engine, clutch, etc.. on that POS?" Then stupidity sets in and says " what will your friends say if you lost to a "grocery getter" - so hello NASA...
uhh, death, dont ever, ever, EVAR say e24 m5, thats a 6 series, its an e34 M5, and the website is vsmotor.no and the 1/4 mile is 8.7 i think, and the other car that was given a headstart wasnt a supra

Nah, a little constructive internal work can do wonders. That bimmer was definitely not a "streeter" or daily driver. Not with those times. There's alot that has not been revealed in that vid. That's no "bolt on goodies & run rig".
It's like some of those "tuner" Nopi-Dopi rigs. They'ld like you to believe they bolted on some after market stuff and like to race - but (real life facts) they have Boo-Koo bucks sunk in engine internals. Honda has a parts program that offers the same parts to pro teams available to street freaks via a network of machine shops. You start sleeving cylinders to accomodate bore & stroker cranks and the HP jumps dramitically. You'll see, ceramic pistons, pistons without skirts, forged cranks, and that little 6 plunger turns into a bullet with a guy steering it

Sorry, missed the 3. Was the M5 black? Cause the one im thinking of it was black and it was vs. a white supra. Ill try to find it
