well first of all, it was the same m3 the whole time, against the same modded ferrari. at the very beginning of the vid, pause it, and it tells you about the ferrari. as for the m3...

900hp turbocharged bitches! Stats:
DA TURBO M3 project

Power: 900 + hp, Torque: 1050 +NM (772lb/ft)

DA Motorsport completed the "900 hp Turbo M3 Project". On march 2003 we made 700 hp (at the flywheel) with the Garrett GT30/40. GT30/40 was more than enough at the beginning. Later on we decided to upgrade our turbo system with a bigger ball bearing turbocharger. Nowadays a Garrett GT42/51R resides under the hood of the M3. With 30 psi of boost we made 900 hp and 772 lb/ft of torque at the flywheel.

DA 900 Turbocharger Project consists of the following parts:

Engine:
- BMW S50B32 block
- Low compression forged pistons
- Forged connnecting rods
- Custom made connecting rod bolts

Cylinder Head:
- Schrick inner valve springs
- Schrick outer valve springs
- Schrick titanium upper retainers
- Schrick steel lower retainers
- Custom made cylinder head studs

Turbocharger:
- Garrett GT42/51R (800-1,000 hp depending on the compressor wheel)
- Ball bearing (the same model has a non ball bearing type)
- Custom made water and oil piping
- Custom made turbo flange
- Custom made turbocharger connecting unit
- 50 mm wastegate

Exhaust system:
- Hand made exhaust manifold: The new exhaust manifold was manufatured in 8 weeks. Stainless steel was chosen for its durability. Pipes with different lengths and diameter were welded together. At the end we have a pipe network under the hood. To make installation and removal of the manifold easier for periodic servicing we used flanges at various bends of the manifold.
- Ceramic coating of the manifold
- Wrapping of the manifold
- Hand made dump pipe 110 mm
- Hand made dump pipe flange
- Removal of the catalytic converter
- Removal of the resonators
- 2 x 80 mm straigt piping until the rear muffler
- Hand made rear muffler

Intercooler:
- 1000 hp air/air intercooler
- Hand made intercooler piping
- Water injection onto the intercooler

Intake Manifold
- Custom made intake manifold: 18,000 cc (1,104 cid)
- Cold air intake located at the rear of the left front fog light
- BMC Formula 1 air filter
(Below: the old manifold is compared with the new 18,000 cc manifold. GT30/40 is seen on the picture)

Fuel System:
- 3 x Bosch Motorsport fuel pumps
- Surge tank in the trunk
- Rising rate fuel pressure regulator
- 1,000 cc Delphi injectors
- Modified fuel injector rail
- Braided fuel lines

Also that was an F355 not a maranello. The same M3 runs a 360 modena in another vid and they are pretty even until the M3 begins to walk away around 150ish.

the m3 in the video isn't the 1000+hp turbo one, it's an older supercharged s50b30, the euro model, those guys are from turkey, i would like to see their newer turbo one in a video

I hear what you are saying dude, but cars putting out that much power are just insanely ridiculously loud. And that M was barely louder than my damn wussy 328.

to answer someone's question, having driven my uncle's maranello and some dudes E36 M3, stock vs. stock, and E36 M3 will get spanked every time, hands down. maybe not in the twisties, but a maranello puts up over 500 horsepwer and is light as all hell. nice M3 though...i wanna see that 900 HP one though....i'll take that

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

that M3 won because it was modded and raced a 355 (named as such because it puts up about 355 which would probably lose to a stock M3, but not by much). as i said in my previous post. in a race between a stock M3 a 355 and a 550 Maranello, 1st would be the maranello hands down and the other two would have a good battle for second though the M3 would probably barely win (assuming its eurospec and not us spec because us spec and cat = Gh3y)
