So my dad and i were headed to work. I was taking my usual nap before we got to work(its an hour commute usually). I had the front seat leaned back half way down..to be comfortable. About 30 minutes into it i woke up to a lurch, tires squealing and the rear end of a pt cruiser. Then i blacked out for a second and realized what had happend.
There was no car in front of us by the time i came to, just tree branches. The pt cruiser hit a explorer in front of her, and we hit the PT. Or so i think we did. not much damage on teh PT.
airbags went off, i guess we hit the pt at around 40mph...but nothing happend to it.
dad has some airbag burn and my face still iches and burns. Thank god i was leaned back and the airbag went off. otherwise my head wouldnt have liked the dash.

whats that tree doing in the middle of the road? and i thought a volvo could really take a hit better than that
tree fell from..well the tree. It broke off. Alot of oak trees aroudn here rot out..and that happens.
also if you notice the bumper of the car(the part that should take the hit in an accident) was not even touched. We slid under the PT cruiser i believe. Which..had no visible damage. other then the front end damage from hitting the explorer.
We had a volvo like this one..it took out a telephone pole at 35 mph...and the car wasnt totaled so they do take hits pretty hard.

also the smell of airbag sucks. Still. taken a shower and washed my face and i can still smell it. wont go away.
The airbag also filled the car with dust, and smoked for 10 minutes

The important thing is that you and your dad are ok, despite the scratches and bruises. Hope you guys feel better. That is a nasty smash though. Have they determined who is at fault?

I had a tree branch fall and slam into my front end. Had a couple of grand worth of damage. Sucked ass!

Glad to hear you guys are ok, even if the car is totaled at least it did its job and got you and your pops out with minimal damage! keep us posted on everything.
Is it considered the Pt's fault because she caused the original accident?

Yeah, that smell is a pain to get off. When a lady hit me in my stang, I put my arm in front of the airbag so I wouldn't get my face burnt, but my arm did. And my clothes and my self smelled like the airbags for a bit, lol
