Agree... one day my dad had a really bad accident, it was 2003 or so and he was driving his brand-new V70...
he's approaching this one intersection and sees a Fiat full of Italians ahead, which doesn't seem to know where to go. So my dad slows down a bit to about 70 km, and this Fiat driver looks like he can't decide whether to pass before the volvo or after... the second my dad is almost at him, the driver suddenly floors it.

Well, my dad ripped off the whole front.
Luckily noone was injured, b/c he hit the breaks early enough. being a former rally driver, he's got good reflexes.
Anyways, the Fiat (a 2002 model) was totaled, the Volvo barely scratched. The airbags did go off, though.

vovlos are great. too bad it missed the bumper.

my first accident was in my dad's volvo. tore up a bit of the bumper but we just pushed it back. you can hardly tell it was in an accident. just a small black line shows the crack.

the other lady's car looked much worse. i kinda felt bad for hitting her with such a strong bumper (EDIT: of course i felt bad just because i hit her at all, but i REALLY felt bad because i didn't take any of the damage). she was in a little mazda and it didn't take well.

like others have said, the important thing is that nobody was hurt.

ok so after carful consideration, taking a look back at the accident site, and checking the pt cruisers damage again...Im pretty sure we actualy hit the tree as it was swining down from where it was.

the PT cruisers damage was very very very little in the rear...and there is absolutely no way our front bumper fit underneath the car.

so.we hit the falling tree branch.

No otehr injuries though, Im glad we came out how we did..magine if we would been going alittle fater, that branch woulda taken our heads off.
