craig 11-26-2006 09:30 PM

how about the new zune? not sure how much it is or what its like, but it has all the same featurs that the ipod has but it has a realy neat feature that i like: its not an ipod

Dr1ve4fun 11-26-2006 10:03 PM

yeah..if you want something nice thats not an ipod I would suggest the zune too.

Rooz 11-26-2006 11:19 PM

The zune is the one! We have it at the store and it's freaking awsome!

craig 11-26-2006 11:36 PM

i think the zune wins. man.. i may have to buy one now! lol

Hoppy 11-27-2006 12:11 AM

It's microsoft..... who knows, lol.

And even on the pod, I only use I tunes to slap the songs from the PC to the pod, I use Limewire to download my songs :dunno

BMWLotAttendant 11-27-2006 09:42 AM

Go ahead, hit me. I still think ipod 80gig ftw! $350. Hands down. :p

Music, pictures, and MOVIES! :rolleyes

mullethunter3 11-27-2006 12:06 PM

You can put Movies, Pictures along with music on the Zune too. And the screen is bigger (and can be run in landscape or portrait). I have an iPod and I think it's a piece of crap. Course, I bought it before they were really popular, I think I have a 2nd generation. What are they on now? 17?

mullethunter3 11-27-2006 12:07 PM

Oh and here's more about the iPod/Zune comparison:
iPod FTL

celsdogg 11-27-2006 02:44 PM

zune ftl because its Microsoft. :angry

and no one has created an interface as intuitive as the ipods. altho i havent tried a zune yet because . . . drum roll please. . . its microsoft!

where did they put the three key salute on the zune?

if your into features, get a pda. my treo can play music, movies, pictures, take pictures, load pics from digital cameras, play games (like quake and doom), open, edit and create word, excel, and powerpoint presentations, browse the internet, stream music from the internet, etc. :D

but there is a real difference between a pda and a mp3 player, but im just saying that features shouldnt be your only consideration when choosing a device. its up there, way up there, but there is more to it.

Jesus Christ why is everyone hating on iPods, I love mine. Oh and your going to have the same shitty problems with ANY high storage volume MP3 player just as you'll have with the iPod, look at the zune and iPod file compatibility. Like a couple of bitches, they each play their own format of songs that won't play on the other. Oh and that Zune "file sharing" thing? After 3 plays the "Shared" file is removed from the Zune and if want it you have to get it on the computer. Each one is just as shit as the other, but I personally like iTunes, it works efficiently. I don't hate microsoft but they do sometimes crash. Keep in mind Apple has had the iPod around for a while, so a good bit of the bugs have been ironed out. If you get a Zune just hold on tight and pray for the Zune Service pack 2 before the thing explodes in your hand.

edit: Oh yeah I just use my iPod for MP3s and Video somewhat their called MP3 Players because they are designed to Play MP3s!! Not to have a million little features and games. Like celsdogg said, if you want loads of features get a treo something.

nick_318is 11-27-2006 04:31 PM

Come over the internet and slap me, get an ipod. I still have a 1st gen and have about a year old nano, they are still by far the easiest portable music player I have used.

If you want really good video wait a while longer there is supposidly a larger video iPod in the works.

For the iPod: hold menu and play for three seconds until the half eaten apple shows up, provided it actually does.
I can tell you where it is on my damn iPod, my damn sisters iPod and my dads damn iPod because we've been through those stupid things.

Mine is the only one that works most of the time. Although I did have to have it replaced under warrenty once... My sister's just had the hard drive replaced (it's a 4G) and my dad recieved a lemon of a Shuffle right out of the box, which has since been replaced once.

My personal experience? Piece of crap.

Hoppy 11-27-2006 07:18 PM

2 friends and my sister all have ipods and im less than impressed with them for the price and im flat out offended by the whole Itunes concept.
plus i dont like, never liked, and probibly will never like Mac's or its products ( not saying im MS loyal. i hate them too, but they are the lesser of 2 shitty's)
