I usually follow the rule of "magic 14". Any speeding ticket 15 or over goes to the insurance company, 14 or below you can pay for and not get any points or anything.

So if it was 55, I'd be cruising at 69.

no, that is a serious answer, i usually cruise around 100 on back roads no matter what the speed limits are, if its particularly twisty i'll cruise the straights around 70 or 80. the'ese one road that i've never ever done less than 110 on just because its a mile long straight and there's No visual obstructions and a huge shoulder.

busy roads around here have lots of cops, so usually 65.. otherwise as fast as the road allows..

and are you for real about the insurance not knowing about your ticket if its 15 and under?? you sure about that?

9 over all the time. 10 will get ya pulled around here.

Harry is right though, 15 can have your license suspended in many cases, so 14 is a better idea.

Think about this, though; when you get a reduction in court, they usually reduce to 9mph over. If you are already only doing 9 over, your chances of not getting pulled must exponentially increase.
