Remember that the 8 is a 7 series turned into a two seater-Same outside dimensions and drive train--and built as a high speed cruiser.

If you want out of the box performance, then any M3 or M5 will be quicker but may not be Faster than even a stock 8 like that one.

Just to compare the size to something common. My wifes '98 Ford Explorer is the same length as my 8 but the 8 is about 3" wider. The 8's weigh about 4000 pounds too.

But with a little tweaking the look so much better than an Exploder don't they A bit faster too

for the most part. i despise them. and not so much for what they are. but for what people think they are. the BMW internet community would have you believe the e36 is the best thing since sliced bread.
