3M double sided tape
i was talking to a friend of mine who has a 02 honda civic.
recently, his honda emblem on his car fell off when he was washing the car. it secures just like our roundels, but looked like it was glued on. (his car was just repaired from an accident) i told him to go buy a new one, with new grommets, but he said he would just use 3M double sided tape. i said, wtf?!?!? i said tape doesnt belong on cars, and he said that people use it all the time for lip kits and such. is this true? maybe only hondas do that? i ask, because i dont know much about installing body kits just because its not something i would do personally. i have heard of using high strength adhesives at times, but double sided tape? |
My trunk lip spoiler came with 3M double-sided tape. :dunno
|
Yes, it's often used for lip spoilers like the E36/46 trunk lip spoiler. But not recommended for emblems and such smaller items, wings, or things that hang suspended. The tape works well on large flat surface areas, allowing better adhesion. But the emblem will just fall off at some point because it's too small.

^^^ :lol thats funny. i shoulda done the same.
at least on the road you continually refine your driving skill. something lots of other drivers need. but instead, i learn things i already know. . . and pay for it. |
