Killed the Rocket...well sort of

Okay, so I went to a lake in the middle of bum-fuck, Alabama with some buddies this weekend.

The weather on the drive up was terrible, it was raining buckets of water lightning was everywhere, and the tornado sirens were going off also..its tornado season in Alabama..

So anyway, we are traveling down this striaght road, and the guy who is leading the group of cars, stops quickly for a yellow light that is about to turn green, he was fairly close to the intersection when he applied the brakes, so it was a quick stop. I also applied the brakes fast...well they locked up, and from about 20 feet away I slid into him at about 10-15 Mph.

He has a big ass truck and a trailer hitch sticking out the back. well that fucked the front of the rocket all up. and all i did to him was bend his bumper down..

The cops came and ruled that it was caused by the weather, because i was by no means traveling above the speed limit or following too closely. I just applied the brakes to fast i think.... well im gonna see if i can get this fixed, or just find another E30...I want to cry

So here are some pics:

The damage is, my valence is bent to hell, my passenger fender is bent, my bumper is Fubar, and my trim is fucked, no frame or mechanical damage though

could have been worse. you could have been falowing this guy:

specs: 26 inches long and 160 pounds, used to be on a crane.

those trailor hitches can do some serious damage. you were lucky. good luck with the fix.

just check around and make sure that it's not rubbing on your tire or anything else and you should be good to go........

I'm sorry to hear about the wreck. On the positive side no frame damage was done so you won't have to worry about any mechanical driving issues. A good shop should be able to get everything straightened out and looking as new fairly easily.
