I heard that's one of the reasons they brought the charger back.
Ford stopped making the crown vic, and the impala is front drive, so chrysler thought it was a good idea to build a powerful rear drive, affordable 4 door.

i dont know why ford stopped the crown vic, i mean thats a really stupid move, a ton of old ppl(that couldnt afford lincolns) and it was like the #1 taxi car and the #1 cop car... genious

from my understanding they are hoping the 500 will take over those rolls. however. i doubt it will. C&D review said the 500 is roomey enough to be a cop car but lacks the balls. so maybe it will be good for old people and taxis but not cops.

most of the taxi's were police cars. thats where taxi companies get their cars. retired police cars. i think its kinda unfair, to drive around people, taxi drivers get police cars with the police packages!
