Chew gum til your jaw hurts. Go running, ride a bike, get naked with a nice lady, anything to take your mind off it.

You guys are probably going to call me crazy and not believe me but you should look into it...

hypnotism.

ya, hypnotism. My dad smoked for 14 years, he went to a hypnotist back in 1986 and he hasn't had even teh slightest urge to smoke ever since. I think it's gotten a little bit more expensive since 86 but it is definately worth looking into IMO.

Ive thought about going that route..... but hypnotism has been documented to screw up your short term memory.

lol!!!

well ya it might affect memory, you wont remember the appointment you have.

I have personally been hypnotised both professionally and by friends, and hypnotised other people. It's honestly one of the coolest and funnest ways to spend a few hours. And I haven't seen any negative side affects come from it.

Congrats, I haven't been smoking that long but I hope to stop before too long, maybe a year or so its hard though because all of my roommates smoke and we will all step out to have a smoke and if you don't have a cig someone will give you one, but I think we are all considering stoping at the same time.

I can see it now, we all stop, then one night we goto the bar and we all start again.
