Yeah. The CIA did support Muhajeden. They consists of Muslims from all over the world. Saudi, UAE, Kuwait,Indonesia,Bosnia,Pakistan and even Malaysia.I heard there's 2 people from my country did went but they got stop at Pakistan and sent back.
