over priced IE higher markup then a jap/amer car. yes
over priced IE not worth what the companys ask? NO not by far. quality, and engeneering is FAR superior to others. and is worth the additional mark ups.

this opinion is based on BMW,Merc, Porsche and mainly german cars
( exception, volkswagen)

That's a vague poll bro... If you're referring to price vs quality - NO. When was the last time you saw anything of quality built by US mfgrs? They've taken mass production to equal cheap, corner cutting and lack of quality. They're in too much of a hurry to make profits and get that vehicle to market that quality is overlooked. US mfgrs also assume that the public is stupid - they play on patriotism, they use cheap materials, and throw it in a body style that 4 other sister co's are using w/minor cosmetic differences. Now they're suffering and the real loser is the guys on the assembly lines. Chrysler (w/help of Benz) is the closest thing to quality from a US mfgr. Even the new vette is a POS. I'd take a viper before a vette anyday. (please don't flame me w/specs - the vette is a turd with a bow-tie emblem)
The imports have quality control standards that is used as an incentive for their employees to shoot for. They use quality products and do years of research before bringing a car to market.
I'll pay the extra $$$ for a Euro car anyday - and watch it's US counterpart being towed to the "stealer" or falling apart by the minute.
