Looky at what came in the mail!! I love primary colors ;)
So, it is time for the full brake/ shock replacement.
After hunting for a while I stumbled over some Bilstien Sports for $450 shipped and an entire set of Brembos and Pagid pads and brake sensors for $325. A steal in my opinion. Anyway, on with the pics:
I will be doing the rear shocks today, so expect a DIY on that, if I don't kill myself doing it... never attempted it before.
The front struts and brakes I need a little help with, so wish me luck. And if all goes well, a DIY for those too.

On the rear, torque the bottom bolt while the car is back down on the ground, not while still lifted up. To get the upper front strut to hub bolt off, use a breaker bar or similar long tool to leverage against the strut housing:
Be careful compressing the springs on the front struts, make sure the claws of the compressor tool are seated well on the springs. And if you think the strut bearings are going, stop and replace them now, it'll be a huge pain in the ass to go thru everything all over again later
Oh yea, if you're reusing the nuts, they're designed for one time use, so you should use Loctite 262 or equivalent.
+1 on the strut bearings. Do them while you have it apart. Re: Sports - you'll dig them. Note: they'll take about 100 miles to settle so don't be surprised if suspension looks a little higher than normal.
thanks guys, i'm on a snack break right now, so the pointers really help. i'm only doing the rears today and the fronts later. i have no time for a full job...

I'm FINALLY done. Son of a B, that had a learning curve! Only 5 hours, counting a lot of cleaning time, snack breaks, drink breaks and two breaks to run to the store to get good jack stands and LocTite.
