Just got back from the Hospital. The staff was very kind and allowed me to stay till 11:30 instead of kicking me out at 8:30. If i didn't know him, i would have never recognized him. He got burnt pretty bad. But the nurses told me that he'll be just fine. The amazing thing is that he was still alive after a head on collision with a stationary object at 50MPH. +1 for BMW engineering. My thought on the explosion is that he probably didn't turn off the car after the accident and during the wreck a fuel line was punctured or the gas tank got ripped open by some object on the ground. Chances are that had the car been completely off. the car would not have exploded. But that can be discussed later. Harry and Chris, I left flowers outside his side door at his house. I forgot to put my name. When you next see Zak's parents, will you let them know they were from me please?

^^^^ that address will likely change after monday. they'll move him from ICU burn unit to the brn stepdown unit and then finally to a normal room. My suggestion is that you mail to harry or mail it to zak's house and have it delivered by either his parents or harry. Also... anyone sending flowers.... Living flowers are not allowed in either ICU or the ICU burn stepdown unit. send those to his house.

Overall, I am happy to know he is alive and on his way to recovery. Shocking story to hear, definitely. I'll check back to follow his progress, and to get his address once he is stabilized. |

Keep pulling for him tho, even if they say he's good to go so far; there's always a risk of infection with burn victims. Yea, I think most of us should wait till Monday or so to send stuff, that way we're sure it gets to him right.

He was supposed to be woken up this morning but he wasn't, probably won't till later today or tomorrow. Apparently he can hear who talks to him and can nod his head. He is sedated soooo much right now. Other than that, his mom says he is looking alot better.
