Well, i've been thinking, and if my younger brother gets a 328 (even if its not harry's) i sure as hell can't let my younger brother have a better car than me, so i was thinking that now that i have all my papers signed for taco mac and i'll be making an obscene amount of money (100 bucks tip per lunch shift, 250 any dinner shift and 300+ any friday night and any weekend shift) i'm thinking i might need to poney up the dough for an M3.....

because lets face it i've been on here for a year+ and if my brother is going to jsut get his license and get a 328, i have to show him up no? lol

I thought you were a domestic kinda guy? An M3 would be nice though, as long as you can afford some mods, insurance, repairs, etc.

I obviously wouldn't be able to pay cash, but i'd finance it with a $2500 down payment and insurance would be 192 a month (already looked into this) and then i'd allow for 200 a month in gas. Mods would come in time. I just can't find and 95 or prior OBD 1 M3's...

rob, i could only do that if you helped me do it. although that would be tons of fun. too bad i can't find any OBD I M3's near atlanta :'(

thats a viable option as i think about it.... any idea where i could get an S50B32 plus tranny?

Whatever you do, don't limit yourself to just the Atlanta area. Try and set your goals as far as the states around you. Trust me when I say a drive to go get your dream car is a lot better than just going for a decent local car. Broaden your choices.

Also, a 95 M3 is around 9K in price these days. If you look at it, you can get a car like mine and add a turbo to it, which would spank an e36 M3 anyday.

i actually found a 318i but i HATE the seats. what would my options be if i chose to replace the seats in the 318i (its a 91)

8500. i also inquired about rooz's car, but they're both automatics. Yuck.

i want a manual, and i wanna go fast, even if i have to make it go fast (318 with engine swap or E36er with turbo setup). Whatever i buy, it will be in my family forever.

Personally, I don't see how your brother will show you up. He may get a 328, but you'll have $$ CASH, CASH, CASH $$ in your pocket, and lots of it. Money talks and bullshit walks, baby.
