And the DOH! award goes to . . .

ME!!!!!!!

Some of you may have heard that my radiator blew up last week. So last night, I started taking everything apart and getting the car ready for when the new radiator comes in today. As I went to disconnect the auxilliary fan wiring harness, I suddenly realized how fucking stupid I am . . . the day before the mishap, I had disconnected it to prevent the fan from turning on while I was playing tunes during a BBQ in the yard. Well, guess who forgot to plug the harness back in? You figure big deal, right? It's just an aux fan, but remember I have the fan delete mod
In reality, that radiator neck would have probably went at some point sooner or later, but just as well, that's a $150 mistake I'll never make again! Anyway, just a footnote for those who are leery about doing the fan delete: I actually drove the car around (city & highway) for a good 5-6hrs that day, before the system gave way

that is a costly mistake that I am sure you won't be making again. At least you know that there isn't a serious issue with your cooling system that could cause issues in the future.

I'm not that upset about it because I was going to change out the radiator next month anyway.
