let the numbers speak for themselves

i went to palmer dodge today to get some prices for things i need to fix on my car before i could sell it, and i noticed something funny. for those who don't know, palmer dodge is teh second largest viper dealership in the world, and at any given time they always have at least 14 vipers somewhere on the lot guaranteed. But this wasn't the case. tehre were only five or six outside one inside and only two that i could see in the viper storage area. So i asked whats up to a guy i know at the dealership and he was like see those seven Z06's over there? thats whats up. and sure enough i look over to the viper storage area and they are loading up five Z06's for transplant to another dealership where they may sell better there's one left in the parking lot up front and one left in the back that they use to prove that their car is better than the Z06.

so from what i gather, while everyone rants and raves about the Z06 the new GTS SRT10 coupe destroys it in every area. i also love the throw back look to the 90's era vipers in their subtle body lines.

i also learned today tah the vipers lock where you can open it with the key is under neath the dor deck (when you're looking at the door, it cuts in about half way down, its hidden under there) adn that any time the key is NOT within key fob range, the battery is cut off completely, making hot wiring nearly impossible.

on a more important note, they also had something i had never seen before. it was the 2007 dodge viper gts SRT10 coupe Viper club f america edition. Its a custom tuned version of the new viper and there will be only 40 of these cars ever built and just to give a gauge about how big this dealership is on vipers, they dind't have just one, they had three of them (dealerships are typically limited to the sale of one of these vehicles EVER, but this dealership bought one from a dealer in florida fresh off the lot and the other one was for being a top five dealer in the world for vipers.

i dont believe vipers own all.. but they are a very sweet car.

no offence tho, but i think the c6 z06 > viper. it's much cheaper and is faster on the ring. but then again, the interior is pretty lame... plastic in the car, woohoo!

neighbor has a viper. Well hes not my neighbor. Hes the guy with teh 3000gt...he just garages it at my neighbors house. He doesnt really like it. Its the SRT or w/e. 2005. Syas he burns his legs getting in and out of it, it gets shit for gas mileage and he says it doesnt handle as good as his 3000GT vr-4.

His opinion is that it sucks. He sasy hes just keeping it cause the value.

no shit it gets crappy gas mileage. itdoes have an 8.3L V-10. what does he expect? Prius hybrid MPG?

Numark, your "neighbor" is whats considered working wealthy, like people on this board. Lets take edwin for example, we all know he does extremely well for himself, but at the end of the day he can't go out and buy a ferrari because he feels like it. maybe he could, but he couldn't afford the monthly upkeep on them and such. BTW, a ferrari 575M is considered working welathy. People that are working wealthy are people that buy a phantom ahve an enzo, have a veyron, a Pagani, etc. These cars cost at least half a million each, and the upkeep/fuel on these vehicles are thousands of dollars a month.

long story short, if you're friend is bitching about gas mileage in a $90k sports car, maybe he should have never bought it in the first place.

Note: i just realized how that came off, don't take this as an attack on you, i'm just making a point about your neighbor buying a car that shows off his wealth just t turn around bitching about gas mileage basically saying i'm rich look at me but i can't afford to drive my sports car. And edwin, srry tosingle you out, i'm sure you got my point.

My neighbor has a dodge dealership and has a viper in his garage (I have never once seen him drive it though). In my opinion, they are one of the most eye catching cars ever made, and are easily one of the fastest. But I'd have to agree, that my tastes would go to the ZO6 simply because it can outperform it on a track, and they are almost equally as fast.
