My question is. . . how did she get accepted to an MBA program when she hasn't any managerial work experience? That's usually a prerequisite for any MBA program.

Not true. I only know of a handful of programs with such requirement. My buddy has a full-ride at Stanford Business school for an MBA. He started there right out of college. You may have some bad sources.

I'm just going by what I've seen when I browsed through grad degrees. I looked at UF, USF, SUNY Stonybrook, GMU, UCONN, NYU. . . all of which were looking for professional work experience after becoming degreed as part of the requirements for admission to their MBA programs.

You're in luck. Half of those schools do not strictly require the two years experience. It is high;y recommended, and it is made clear that most of the applicants posses such experience, but they allow you the oportunity to impress them with whatever you can.

I am sure that being a prodigy with a bachelor degree at age 16 would be impressive enough to some people.

Point taken.

Anybody ever wonder what emotional and social ramifications (if any) this girl may have in the future? She is completely in disaccord with most people her age. At least, so it would seem.

harry and chris worrel can probably enlighten you on this as far as one of their classmates is concerned (jon form APphsics and math science FYI chris and harry) but i won't say anything because i didn't know him well enough to pass judgement or remark on him in any way. The most i could say is that from what i observed, it would have SERIOUS social ramifications and affects social mature in a negative way (i'm thinking mainly of the way he dressed- he was too smart to care how he looked maybe?)

i'll let harry and chris elaborate.

If any of you knew anything about Indiana University of Pennsylvania, lol. It's the biggest party school around, those people are crazy. Needless to say it's not ranked very high in local opinion...

Many schools do require a few years experience before enrolling, but a lot of schools will let you in if you were an undergrad. It really depends on the school you're applying for. Some of the top teir 1 schools require experience.

Yea there would be some social ramifications I think all this person will do it work and work and possibly have trouble connecting with people her age.

As far as getting an MBA some schools will take you right out of your undergrad but if you do that your stupid. You will have a harder time finding employment when your done then the comparable person with 2 years of experience, they will be taken because of that experience if they were equal in every other way.
