I can semi-relate.
That's like driving an e65/e66 7-Series and an e60 5-Series. The gear shifter is on the right side of the stearing wheel (in a 7), and when I get in a 5er, I grab the shifter near the stearing wheel (thinking I'm in a 7) and the windshield wipers go off.
Then I look down and move the gear shifter into position.
I know I'm not the only one who does it...the sales guys, and techs do it too.
