My new cell

I finally made a decision on my cell phone. I went with t-mobile and the 1 year contract and the razr v3. I got a free motorola bluetooth headset. and I must say I am very happy with it thus far. I'm getting great signal, I do need to do further distance testing, but so far so good.

I've already hacked it and replaced the t-mobile logo with a roundel.

I just bought a new cell phone also. I went to sprint (free switch from Nextel because contract wasn't up) and got the Samsung A900. I am pretty happy with it. It is their compition with the razor. I do like your phone mod!

Motorola's software sucks. I have the SLVR L7 and so much miss the user interface from my SonyEricsson T616 (RIP). My signal/reception is great, however, so I am happy with that.

there is a software package out there called p2kman, for that particular modification it is a simple file replacement. I recommend backing it up. I also re-worked the menus, enable some features, re-mapped some keys, etc....

I reccomend

http://www.motomodders.net/
http://www.planetmotox.net/

planetmotox has the software you need.
READ EVERYTHING SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE YOU DO IT. I can't stress this enough, people have turned their phone into a nice and expensive paperweight (brick) Many of the things you can do to the phone can and will void the warranty.

BTW as a side effect of installing the drivers for the phone you can also charge your phone via the usb interface It charges slow but it still charges.

thanks to insurance (phone, not car) i was recently able to ugrade from a treo600 to a treo650 for only $50.

the treo is awesome. what else can you watch full length movies, listen to mp3's or streamed music (from the internet), play doom, take pictures and movies and have still keep all your appointments for free (apps i mean)?
