Catching people eyeing your car.

So I was leaving Red Robin last night after having a good meal with my friends and as I'm walking back to my freshly washed BMW, these old folks (lady dressed like an old west prostitute) were walking to their car parked close to me. I'm behind them and I hear the lady say "honey, what kind of license plate is that?", he looks and replies "british." Now I'm almost to my car and have to butt in, "actually, it's german". She laughs and says "well, you'd know i guess since it's your car"

Another time I was sitting in my car waiting for my brother to get out of the store and these kids are walking by, one of them comes up to my car, gets down on his knees and starts looking at my wheels. I laughed so hard. If I had had my exhaust at that time I would have started the car and revved it tough.

Anything like this ever happen to you guys?

I seem to catch the eye of other E30 drivers :lol

once when i went to the doctor, i walked in and someone in the waiting room saw me pull up. he started asking me questions about it and how well it ran. he was an older gentleman, reason he wanted to know so much is because when E30's were new, he wanted one badly :)

another time in my apt complex i went out to take the glovebox handle off because it was broken. while i was doing it, someone from the building next to mine came up and kept telling me it was super clean, especially on the inside. he was impressed :-D

yup, i kept the inside clean, thats why i got an extra $300 from the insurance ;)

I was sick a couple of weekends ago and went to the drug store about 11:30 at night and I come out and there is this dude totally checking my car out, he keeps looking at it but is walking away. He catches me getting into it and hollers and I talk to him and his wife for about 5-10 minutes about the car, he was telling me about his e30 convertable, and that his wife is driving around an older 7 as her daily. There have been other times where people have given me comments or been caught checking out the car. When my dad had his Laguna Seca blue e46 m3 when ever I would take it out people always commmented on the color asking if it was custom, the most memerable was taking it to a carwash and having the attendant tell me that the car was a "tiger" and also saying "I bet you pick up hoes all the time in this thing".

I don\'t catch much . . where I live, Bimmers are a dime a dozen. Except for 6\'ers, which are rare here, so they catch everyone\'s attention.

Yea, same. Actually, I haven\'t caught anyone. :( Just my friends oogle her once in a while, and one just loves looking at the ride height, but other than my friends making comments, nope, no one.

Always funny when I walk to a customer\'s car and they ask me.. "Do you know who\'s white BMW that is?" "It\'s actually mine"

yeah mine catches alot of peoples attention around my area.. especially because theres very few people who mod cars around here.

the main comment i get is "wow, your rear tires are really wide"

quite often. a lot of times working with at an accounting firm they would also come in and ask if it was the CPAs car... nope, the interns. heh.

one time i was at a dodge dealer checking out the SRT4 neon and when i drove by literally 8 salesmen standing outside, their eyes followed my car the whole way.
