watching the news and they said 3 schools had BANNED the wearing, or displaying the american flags or its colors. claimed in an attempt to slow mexican/american hostilitys over immigration.

one of those schools was in Oceanside california. home of Camp Pendleton Marine corp base! these 18-22 year old marines, fresh out of highschool them selves are dying for that flag and these asshats have the balls to ban it! it unconstitutional and should be treated as treason. hell cut off all federal money, cut the power and freshwater and sewage. encircle the town and tell them they now belong to mexico. enjoy your squalor.

Students were warned about the policy Friday and several were suspended, although Stumpf would not provide details. Then, about 100 students protested during lunch time.

Student Dustin Carlson told Denver station KCNC-TV that he was suspended for two days.

"I'm getting suspended for it and personally I think that's uncalled for," he said. "If this country means freedom, then why can't we fly our own flag? It's ridiculous."

Thousands of high school students Friday in California, Texas, Nevada and other states protested the tough immigration laws proposed in the House. Some waved Mexican flags and carried signs saying "We are not criminals."

On Monday, about 150 high school students, including some from Skyline, protested in Longmont.

"People are taking it to a whole other level," said Laura Avitia. "I don't think they know why we were protesting."

Thats just fucked up, these people need a reality check or something, this is a great country and you should be able to display the flag (afterall it is OUR flag, it represents OUR country) without any problem. Fuck these schools, send some military jets over and drop bombs on them or get that sniper to shoot whoever is incharge of this decision.

Is this against 1st ammendment rights, it would seem so to me, freedom of speech and expresion, FUCK, this pissed me off.

id definatly say its against the 1st ammendment. i mean, the 1st protects hippies right to burn the flag as "freedom of speach" ( wich fine, id say if its legal for them to burn it, it should be legal for the rest of us to beat the shit out of them for it. then we will see how commited to thier cause they are) its definatly freedom of speech to wear or wave the flag

I agree with whoever said that if you don't fly the flag, the govt. should stop writing the checks. It's a United States of America public school, they should recognize, respect, and fly the red, white, and blue. I see this as blatant disregard for the consitution. Just because some ADMINISTRATOR can't keep their own kids in-line, does not mean they have the right to this type of act.
