Rolling road block

so there was like a 8 mile deep traffic jam on the mass pike today. obviously it started right AFTER the rest stop and exit. so i slow right down to.... stop. and sit there for a while. the engine is starting to heat up ( shut up, its old. it gets to do that) so i decide to move into the right lane cause it seems to be moving a little faster and just incase i need to pull over and turn off to cool down.

so i get in the right lane, open my windows and sunroof, crank the heat and undress the hot chick in the eclipse with my eyes. and soem one blows by in the break down lane! now i HATE that. so i wait till i see the next one coming and i pull 1/2 into the break down to block him. the guys behind me figure out what im doing, so they get nice and close so he cant pull in behind me. by now guys a few cars back have caught on and the guy im blocking backs off and gets back in line, as do i. next thing i see is another car coming! too fast for me to just, jump infront of it so i let him go, but a gold SUV a few cars infront of me picks up the slack. then the guys behind me block soem more. it was great cause the people imediatly behind me caught on and kept the jerk from jumping back in line and any ones i let slip by the guys in front caught them

That's "car hockey" and you were the goalie. That's one of those moments you wished you had a manequin to pitch out the passenger window. What are they going to do report you because they were illeagally passing you?:drive2

xsperf 04-02-2006 10:07 PM

no offense, but thats a dick thing to do..

Cellardoor 04-02-2006 10:28 PM

whatever its a bigger dick thing to do to pass in the breakdown, what if he had to pull over to cool down and gets rearended by some douche hauling ass down the breakdown lane. i think its an awsome way to pass some time in a traffic jam :) need to set up the pass door to open with a push button and then wait for a bike ;) lol jk.

Hoppy, you need to plan your traffic "moments" better. We had a tech in Fla that when he got off work at 5pm, went straight to the liquor store bought a 12 pak - then drank most of it while sitting in bumper-bumper traffic. He figured a cop would never catch him in "the rolling parking lot" traffic in Orlando. (Now I'm NOT advocating drinking & driving - before I get flamed for the above)

C1apton... had a handle of whiskey in the trunk, and a filled flask. i contemplated that, but didnt know when the traffic would break, and still had 75 + miles to drive and im only 19. haha

xsperf - how is it a dick thing? and if it is a dick thing, then im proudn to be a dick. cause dicks fuck both pussys and a$$Holes.... if anything the people who slow down to stare at fender benders are "dicks"

well as i said b4, what if someone is in an emergency situation? either way, dont worry, i wouldnt pass in the break down lane

What I really hate is when a lane ends and somebody does that shit, zip down in the lane that ends so he can save a few precious seconds.

This weekend we were going to the movies and we came upon some construction and our lane unexpected ended, but instead of taking turn to accomodate both lanes people were being assholes and fighting over position taking twice as long (there was a cop messing up traffic so nobody was moving) my wife wouldn't let me get out and stop traffic to let some people merge. I was all ready to jump out and stand there. If they really want the spot 3 feet in front of me, let them hit me for it. Besides I could have walked there faster. She really doesn't let me do half the crazy shit that needs to be done. She doesn't understand that sometimes you need to be an asshole.

Yeah. I hear that jms

When I'm in Minn, there's a couple of exits that split off and some of these clowns fly down the exit until the very last opportunity, then swerve left to bypass 20+ cars waiting to merge onto interchange. Lately State Patrol parks on the split and has been grabbing them - usually 4 or 5 at a crack. Some of these jerks don't realize the consequences if they kill/hurt someone. An "I'm sorry" doesn't cut it in my books.

haha i can find fault with anyone infront of me. and anyone behind me probibly thinks im an ass. but im ok with that.
going from 495 to 24 i was in 2nd behind a pontiac, who was behind a big rig. and as we cleared the entrance to 24 i punched it. well. so did the pontiac. and lets just say the 21 year old bims still out ran this chump in his pontiac so he went from the right to middle lane, and i had to go from right to middle to left to keep from hitting him. probobly with in 6 inches of his bumper... its like, if i dont average 80 mph i have to make up for it some where along the line

I love it when I outrun someone who was trying, I wave to them as I go by. It especially good if I have the top down.

a few months ago, here in indy, there was a lady who was on the highway and tried to pass some people on the shoulder, and then ran right into a dump truck that was parked on the shoulder, she died.....kinda sad but, owned none the less

I don't have to put up with any of that crap today since I called out sick and stayed home :D
