Honestly, I think the truck would me more practical. If you got the bimmer, living around that area would destroy it in a few years....

Sure it'd be nice to get the bimmer, but is it practical? And longhairedhippy, bimmer or not, craig is one of us.

What is your budget? I woul dget something like an early 90s 4Runner or Pathfinder (both of which you can get with a manual transmission).

IMO (being a total car nut) the 58 stepside chevy is just too cool. buy the truck, sell the bird, get a bimmer.

You said your road is in bad condition. I do recall you said there’s no BMW specialist at your area.
IMO, don’t get the BMW because it will be hard for you and your family. Get something practical.

For the conditions I think the 58 would be the better option. A BMW would be torn apart in a matter of months on shitty roads, and since there is no specialist out there it would be hard and expensive to repair.

Wait until you are in a better location or more finacially able to purchase a BMW, that way it will be more enjoyable to own.

does it run? Have you driven it? It looks like it has been sitting a while (from the picture anyway). It could have some mechanical issues. Make sure to check that out first.
