Currently a "clerk" (aka store bitch) at a fuckin grocery store. Been there since 1998, sad, I know. At New Jersey Institute of Technology majoring in Civil Engineering (6th year :( ). Graduating this May. I've received one job offer, turned it down, looking for better benifits. I'm applying to one large firm with an interview set for April 10th.

Plans for the future? Umm... learn more stuff. Even after spending six years at college, I feel as though I know nothing and am eager to get my hands dirty on real world work.

I'm majoring in Journalism with a magazine specialty and probably a minor in photojournalism at The University of Missouri. After
I graduate, it's Grad school at Northwestern, before hopefully writing for Motor Trend, Bimmer, PBMW, European Car, or Road & Track.

RealBmw 02 03-27-2006 12:48 PM

Majoring in Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic of San Luis Obispo. When I graduate I would like to work for an automotive company in the racing devision for a few years before opening my own tuning comapany. Hopefully I can set up a deal with a major comapany (BMW perhaps) to have factory backed modified models that are sold at dealerships with warrenties, similar to what Dinan and Saleen do at the present time.

Design, engineering, & fabrication of exhibitions for a hands-on science museum. Been there 12yrs, and really getting sick of my boss. So right now, I'm also in school for respiratory care.

I know exactly what you mean about being sick of the boss. In fact, that's why I quit my last management post with a top Fortune 100 financial services organization. She just drove me absolutely nuts with her stupid, micromanaging, detailed oriented, command and control bull shit, politics and other ridiculous idiosyncrocies. Tried to be flexible and work thru all the issues, but ultimately it just drove me nuts. Too much pressure, stress, couldn't sleep at nights, almost ruined my health, etc. Fortunately, I planned for days just like this in my career.

It was great and a major relief off my back to finally leave her penintiary, I mean department. Now I'm retired and financial independent and call all the shots. No more crap man. Here's wishing you tons of success also! You sound like you had a enough also. Get it when it's right and move on. You certainly deserve much better sounds like also.!! BEST REGARDS
