^^^Well, my problem is simpler than that . . my boss is ignorant, illiterate, and unskilled. He became my boss because of a sex scandal.

Just wonderful. Only in America can you pull stunts like that and be actually successful. Sorry to hear that bro! It's onne thing to be deserving and a complete A**, quite another to be both incompetent and sleeping his way to the top???? WHat gives man???

Again, I say move on man. Time to limit your losses. You don't deserve this. Staying where you're at will only demoralize you further with that sort of managerial inepititude. BEST REGARDS.

I'm a junior at Michigan State University. I'm studying Finance, hopefully I can get a job as an anaylist when i'm done and then work for a couple years and have my company pay for an MBA. I would like to become an investment banker or something along those lines. Gold_Panda you sound like you might be a good person for me to talk to about this stuff, when my computer gets fixed I might send you a pm about career related stuff.

Hey there! Sounds like you're definitely on track for a great career in professional finance! My pleasure to assist you with any questions or inquiries you might have regarding any of this stuff also. Also, over the years, I've mentored more than my fair share of aspiring CPAs/MBA's, future corporate stars and winning management consultants.

That's great that you're looking for some organization to finance your future MBA- that's how I got mine in fact, well at least they finance up to the current IRS Tax Limit on annual tuition reimbursement for qualified continuing education.

BTW, my bill rate is $150 per hour. Where may I send all future invoicing for consulting services rendered??? LOL. ALL THE BEST!.

Senior at Wichita State University majoring in Business Finance. I'm trying to graduate in December, but some complications have come up...so probably in May of the following year.

I'm looking to get with a BIG company...with a BIG salary...in a BIG AND WARM city. Dallas, Seattle, Arizona, California, or New Jersey

Microsoft, Koch Industries, Exxon Mobile, G&E, BMW, CitiBank, Wells Fargo....something good.

I'm single and can travel...so that should up the salary too. I love cars...so maybe BMW...or I've been thinking the enemy Mercedes-Benz (for the SL, CL, and SLR series). Banking...and finance go hand in hand...or other thoughts....becoming a pharmaceutical representative...that would be cool.

Anywho...or I could just go from BMW Service to BMW Sales....that would definately score me major BMW points doing that.

Hey there!

Couldn't help your referencing Wells Fargo in terms of a career track. Fyi, I just recently retired from Wells Fargo and Company! Yep, WF is definitely one of the premier Fortune 100's in the U.S. today!! Great career track and good benefits too!! GO FOR IT!

Thanks, I appreciate your advice.

I'll keep that in mind when considering who to send the resume out to.

In college, I completed bachelor degrees in Electrical engineering and Digital Media Arts. I have been working as an embedded control engineer for two years. I started my masters degreee in electrical engineering last spring, specializing in digital signal processing, especially as applied in biomedical control.

Once I finish my MSEE (will be done with classes in December; my thesis may take me up to a year), I will leave the company I work for (they love me there, and the environment is great, but I have lost motivation, see no challenge there, and see no opportunities for growth -- my next salary once I leave this company will very likely be more than the owner of this comany makes), and find something interesting in the field.

My preferences would be the biomedical field, engine management, or media communications/computer stuff (like working for Apple designing iPods). I will concurrently pursue an MBA and will soon thereafter seek to move into management to ensure that the engineering talent is used correctly, and that their job is not hindered by the decisions made by non-technical upper management.

Wow... that is long. I will omit the part about independent business ventures and the possibility of doctoral studies.

I'm a regional sales manager for a hardware and software company (and I'm also hiring seasoned account managers if anyone has a background in technical/software sales and is in the local area).
