my movie
was wondering if any of you guys have ever made a movie or short film? my buddy and i are hopefully going to do it in the summer, and i was wondering if any of you had any tips or ideas.
How in depth are you guys planning?
There's ALOT of planning & considerations if you're going for a semi-pro look. IE: Time of day, lighting, camera angles, # of cameras, editing, not mentioning sound & syncronization and budget.

nothing too detailed, neither of us know what were doing really, just that we want to do something like this. It will probably be as amateur as you can get, but we want to have fun and involve both of our rides. (he drives a supra)
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
my friend walks around with his camcorder for about three weeks. Getes everything on film. Filters out all teh pointless shit, and throws a movie together with a bunch of special effects and good music. I think hes made 5 or so. Maybe more.
He made a senior video. Also a video of a bmw meet i went to.
good stuff.
good luck. making a plot and story board sucks, and takes alot of planning as C1apton said.
what program u going to use?

Are you being held hostage? LOL Lately your posts have been "so positive". You should be diving into that T-bird, you don't need to be buying stuff for - tear into it and figure how things work & fit. Figure out things you can do to make it better. Don't be so down on yourself bro..

Into film here, I suggest getting a membership at your local Community Access and they let you rent out equipment, assuming you don't have much. Also consider picking up a few books on the subject, read up on things like the rule of thirds, mise en science, lighting etc. I film a lot and had a few shorts in festivals and such and I'm hoping to get back into it this summer as well.
Mac use FinalCut. End of Story.
PC I suggest using Adobe Premeire Pro, It's got some bugs but I find it easy to use and you can produce a nice product with it.
As for a camera, your local community access probably has a Canon GL1/2 or Sony Vx2000- anything with 3+CCD chips will give you a nicer sharper image than the more basic consumer camcorders.
