careful guys... your opening a sensitive can of worms. I mean even if that russian ambassador did give the iraqi's details of an american attack...... it was an american who gave the russians the plans to make nuclear weapons. And that doesnt make every american citizen a potential spy.

it COULD have compromised the first strikes. imagine how many coalition (allright, american) lives could have been list.

I can assure you that their lives are still on the list and not because of russians (which look more like a forged crap to me), but because of the moron who sent US troops into pointless war of private interests and ambitions. It is just sad that the government always lay the blame on the 3rd party just to keep their own ass in warm.

I kinda agree with Jybute, this is very sensative subject to make general assumptions.

Concerning the point, I see it as saying "bad russians gave Iraq the US military documents so more american troops would die", which total BS. Am I missing something?

I am russian, but it doesnt change the fact that I live in US. If US government does some crap like accusing a counrty in having/using WoMD just to invade to it for further liberation, it doesnt make lives of US troops less valuable. And I mean from any point of view, would that be Russian, American, English or any other.

I mean to suggest that a leaked document would put american soldiers lives in "more" danger than was already a dangerous situation is ridiculous. Dont you guys remember the days leading up to the invasion.... G.W. was on television and he kept telling Sadam " we're coming to get you" and I remember him saying that the Iraqi's had 48hrs to allow the U.N. access to certain areas. And if those demands were'nt met that the U.S. was coming. I mean the Iraqi's already knew the war was innevitable, and to blame even one death on a Russian spy is like............ I'm really sorry guys, but thats so F***'n American. They shouldn't be there in the first place. Just the fact that they havn't found one single weapon of mass distruction is proof enough for me that their real motive there is money, and not the future of western civilisation as we kow it. What about N.Korea, or finish looking for Osama, or Rwanda........ AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! this topic really gets my blood boiling, and I consider myself Right wing.

Oh yeah... did you guys know that the propaganda machine of the U.S.A. is more affective than that of the Soviet Union during the second world war.

I think this subject has to many sides to really aproach it. I mean, you argue this issue from so many sides it ridiculous. All American does different from other countries is their methos of lying to us. They know how to hide their lies from us, and since we are the "super power" theres no one to inform us that we are being lied to. Maybe foreign news, but not many americans watch CNN in the first place, so they wouldnt be watching international news.
