It's ricer time

While the concept of drift racing sounds like fun ( I know I love to get my car sideways) I don't know if I can handle the rice.

Plot Outline: In order to avoid a jail sentence, Shaun Boswell heads to Tokyo to live with his military officer uncle. In a low-rent section of the city, Shaun gets caught up in the underground world of drift racing.

After the first 2 movies and the copy cat exhaust morons here, I'm in no hurry to see (or hear) it :lol

german speed demon 03-22-2006 02:35 PM

you know, i'ld probably watch it, simply to laugh my ass off.

But not without consuming massive quantites of alchohol.

LandoAWD 03-24-2006 07:35 AM

THis will only lead to deaths on the street.

jms 03-24-2006 09:31 AM

people already do it, I only do it in a controlled environment like an empty parking lot because I know better. These idiots like to do it on mountain roads.

barney 03-24-2006 09:39 AM

not my gig. drifting around cones=slow times. cant go fast if your spinning your wheels

:agree this would be the best way to see it

jms 03-24-2006 11:37 AM

see you are focusing on time, time is mearly a measurement. I focus on doing things I like and having fun with it. If all I wanted was a fast time I wouldn't worry about the creature comforts. :)

barney 03-24-2006 11:52 AM

True, but I also focus on fun, and fun for me is autocross, and because its measured on how fast you make it to the finish line thats what i tend to focus on. But it also probably has something to do with the fact that I couldnt afford to replace tires constantly from burning them off every race. Even I like to get sideways.

jms 03-24-2006 12:04 PM

There we go, sideways FTW! :tup

so you enjoy the cone dodging, huh? no thanks, i'm a serial cone killer. proper track time is where it is.

barney 03-24-2006 02:20 PM

Id love to do that too but the track is further away and cost is greater. I can kill cones locally.

Spieluhr 03-24-2006 03:45 PM

oh fuck.

After the first one, the sales of honda civics skyrocketed, and I should have gone into the coffee can business because every one of those rice boys bought a big ass canister exhaust. NOW, all the kids that have had their riced out civics and licenses for two weeks will think they can drift on public streets, and will end up killing themselves or other people. I just hope this movie comes out after i graduate, because I dont need some fuck tard thinking he can drift, come sliding into my freshly waxed Bimmer.

jms 03-24-2006 03:53 PM

We like to call it "thinning the herd" we do need to keep them away from the bimmers though.

Storamin 03-25-2006 10:02 AM

honestly a lot of them can drive better than me. don't underestimate kids who don't care about their cars... they learn how to drive them on the edge.
