First of all, no mod move this outside the lounge.

There is absolutely no purpose to this post, so please do not try and over-interpret it or read between any lines at all. Accept it as simply a declaration of my personal responsibility towards legal file licenses and copyright law.

Just letting you guys know, I recently legally came in contact with quite a few Top Gear episodes, and I'll be uploading them over the next week or so (about 16gb) to my personal, protected online storage facility for personal backups only. And because of legal bindings and copyright law which I fully and completely follow in every possible way.... I would NEVER hand-pick trustworthy UB members to get access to my personal-only collection (which will never be shared outside of my own personal use) of digital backups for my legally obtained Top Gear episodes.

Thankfully I'll finish the backup process soon, so I'll be able to rest assured that if my locally-stored legal media has any corruption or loss of any sort, I'll still have my single digital backup, just in case... which I'm legally allowed to do under the Fair Use Rights, as outlined in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998.

That's all, nothing more here. Please move on.

just don't accidentally allow your single digital backup to be automatically backed up by your backup script

Once you have an unlicensed copy on your machine you've stolen from the legal copyright holder and must pay thousands of dollars in damages, or buy a second license.

don't hate harry, he came by them legally. And sharing would be illegal. The copyright owners would have to be a slightly smaller summer house if people shared. And we can't have that.
