Scammers... go to hell.
I don't understand this shit:
18 months ago I sold my 190E. It was on autotrader.com for that time that it was for sale. Now, i keep getting these scamers asking me what my lowest asking price for it is, even though I sold it and took it off autorader way over a year ago. Here's the latest one... Quote:
Hmm... thoughts of copying that laptop payback are circulating in my head....:evil ... harder to do with a car though. Dough |

Con artists SUCK! I hate these clowns who spend more time trying to scam, con, lie to folks to make a buck than trying to be productive. They're nothing but "low lifes" - they'ld con their own mothers...dickheads!

Thats gay Dough. But congrats on owning a 190E, freakin awesome cars, i have one too. Was urs the 4cyl or the 6cyl?

Death2000, mine was the 2.6 (auto, wanted the 5spd though). It was an awesome baby benz. It was a good car till the shit hit the fan and everything decided to break at the same time. Would've cost me alot more than the car was worth to fix. Sold it for $2000 (I think) sometime ago.
Here's his latest response: Quote:

actually that nigerian spam thing is nigeria's fifth largest industry. We all recognize these as scams, but there is a portion of our population which are unable to determine these as scams. And while 99% of the people out there will throw these away that 1% will answer and get sucked in. What I do when I need to throw out an email on the web for a specific purpose is create a new email address. when I am done I throw it away and if I should need to stay in contact with someone, I'll send them my real email address. So once the car is sold, they get a bounce message.

I was buying some Wave Runners off of ebay (in the picture) and I was obviously the high bidder. Anyways, some random guy in New York (The sale took place in Oregon), contacted the second highest bidder and offered the wave runners to him if he just sent the $5,000 to a specific address. Luckily, the second highest bidder contacted me and asked why I wasn't buying them (I did though). He would have lost his shorts along with $5,000.

That's what Craig's list does, it creates an email for each item and the seller is contacted through the service.
