Prediction: In 10 years Google will find themselves falling into the same downward spiraling position AOL is in now

Yeah, but you have to keep in mind that aol never was anywhere near the top ... yeah, they had a lot of users, but nothing was really innovative.

AOL in its heyday was IT. The absolute Tech darling/Killer Ap.

Its captive content exceeded what was available on the 'Net way back when. They were the Compuserve Killer.

Bear in mind that this was in the era of Netscape 1.0 and Windows 3.11

Google is just the current Killer Ap.

true, google has the brightest minds in the industry working for them ... hopefully they don't get too big and become a monopoly. Hurts smaller companies with good ideas b/c they simply get bought.

Yeah, I'm hoping that I can surf the web in my car without installing a computer.

Maybe I should get a patent for that.....

It better have an offline software version. I am not really a fan of online software. I just don't trust the connection between my computer and the interweb. I know that web applications are the next best thing, but I do like to waste space on my PC, especially when I can save my documents offline at anytime.

True, but if you don't trust your connection, remember it auto-saves every 10 seconds. Read the article.

Oh speaking of google, I am watching Speed, and all of a sudden a Pontiac commercial comes on... yes, I decide to sit through it...and guess what I see at the end, "... But don't take our word for it, Google for Pontiac" and they show the google page with pontiac filled in the search text box. is this how google is now making money at the same time advertising on TV? Mother of God!!! Googlezon is in the beginning stage ! AH!!! I need beer!
