here's the deal, I have a family account with cingular(was at&t) I love my plan, but I really hate my phone. I conceed that it is time to leave my plan. I can get the best rate on t-mobile and it is only a 1 year contract.
Does anyone here use t-mobile? and how is the service? I care mostly about reception, dropped calls etc...
Have a look at the coverage maps. T-Mobile isn't the most complete. Also, AT&T is supposed to be taking back over Cingular as they buy Bellsouth that owns the only part of Cingular that AT&T doesn't already own
t-mobile sucks, ive had it, never will get it again, it sucked, many others have had it, no one likes it, they give you 10,000 minutes, but the trick is, you can have them if you can actually get the reception to use em.. get nextel, its the only way (or verizon)

Whatever you get, ask them to take a phone home for a day and test out the reception, cause Verizon is terrible at my home but where I go to school, it's awesome. I have Sprint, which I like, except when I have to call customer service, lol. But that's true with any cell company.
I had nextel and that really meant I never had signal. I could stay with cingular but I wouldn't get the phone I want so I would have to pay for that, I wouldn't get to stay with my plan that's an extra $240 a year, so to bottom line it
I would be on a 2 year contract, pay an extra $200 up front so it would cost me an additional $680 over 2 years from what I am paying now. $440 for the first year and $240 for the second.
T-mobile would come in at around $200 over 1 year.
Are you saying it is worth the extra $480 commitment to stay?

Well, I can say this.... T-mobile sucks on my campus, singal stregnth is null. I have Cingular (after the At&T switchover). They were good back when I first got it, BUT now, the shit's hit the fan. I'm getting crossed over lines from fuckin dushbags trying to find some chick named Olivia. Or someone trying to find thier sick grandmother in a nursing home.... actually, I just got another phone call about an hour ago who's number i recognized but the person wasn't that number. Somehow, the person calling me was switched over to the other person making the same exact call to someone else. Its confusing I know, But shouldn't be happening none the less..... fucking annoying. Not to mention paying nearly $60/mo for this shit too isn't cheap on my budget. Yo and what the fuck is with people spamming ur fucking cell phone (text messages included!)....

I love my plan but hate my phone. I have yet to be able to make a call in my house.
I've been looking into reccomendations listed here and verizon is out, the plan sucks, the offer sucks.
Sprint is out so is nextel.
So it is either Tmobile or pay the extra cash and stay with cingular.
What's bad is I really hate them as a company. I know they don't care about me as a customer. they don't need to and they know it. They can treat you like crap cause where are you going to go.
I have sprint. Have had it for a few years now. I didn't think I was getting my money's worth so I called and complained. Nothing. Called back and complained to a manager and got more minutes, nights and weekends starting at 7 instead of nine for no additional cost, and 15% off my entire bill. I was please
Service is good too

That's incredible that you got that kind of service. I had to go through the Better Business Bureau just to talk to someone who would actually help me. They said they'd knock some money off my bill, never did, and when I called back they of course had no record of it. That was when I first got my phone, almost a year ago, maybe their customer service is better now.
