boys/girls

I am seeing a big difference (obviously) in the way my son and daughter's personalities are developing. For instance, when my kids get in my car, the first thing my daughter does is get comfortable by putting her backpak on the floor, or putting whatever she has in her hands where ever she feels. My boy on the other hand, the first thing he does is sit down with his legs out of the car, and kicks all the dirt, snow or anything that might be on his shoes/boots at the time. I didn't even tell him to do this, he has been doing it on his own. But to ask my daughter, or even my wife for that matter to kick there shoes off is like asking them to pull there own teeth. When my boy sees them doing this he always gives them shit. He even walks to the other side of where he sits to put his bag in the car, he never slams the door, and he always takes all his stuff with him when we get where we're going.
He hasnt always been perfect, but man... I think we have a car enthusiast on our hands. And as soon as he can read and write a little better I'll get him to join UB.

Dude, that's AWESOME!!

What is the deal the the majority of females (cool it Teg ) with chicks thinking cars are merely a rolling trash can??

My wife and daughter could care LESS about what they do in the car (although they face getting snapped at if they don't follow the rules). Drives me NUTTY!!

I routinely get the "It's ONLY a car" line. WTF???? Don't they get it's not JUST a car???

Only a car? It happens to be the 2nd most expensive purchase one makes in their life, next to a house. My gf has learned about not slamming doors, but I still have to work on her letting the glove box slam down when she opens it.

nice! EVERY one in this town thinks "its JUST a car". no one understands its not JUST a car. when i went over to one of my brothers buddies house to pic him up, every one got the bright idea to go over to my window and ling on the car(he was realy fat... that could cause damage! lol). and today, i was picking up jordan from school(well mom was driving..(van)) and this stupid kid was trowing a tumble weeb into the road, and the wind was blowing it tword the van, then back in the school yard. then he tried to throw it back on the road. then i tell mom "man.. i wana go over there and smack that kid and say 'what do you think you're doing!? get outa here!" and thats just with the van. if i had a realy nice car, with a new paint job, i just might go insane.

and btw.. i ALWAYS get all the stuff(snowand mud) off of my shoes before getting into a car.

and its actualy going to be pritty neat if he joins. a mini car freak!

jybute, how old are your kids?

When I eventually give in to nature's will, I hope to have a son that respects my car like that. Haha.

I don't think so...... I was just saying, I wish that he would naturally develope that respect by my actions, not because I scared him to do so. Would rather be loved than feared.
