they definetly wont be rival sites. werkz forum seems like its moving more towards just chatting except for the tech part's.
I have a feeling like this will become major, but more compact in its users, but everyone will know every here is what i feel, and werkz will be the bigger more chat related stuff.
i have a good feeling about this place ::thumbs up::

And the thing about this place is, even though it has few members now, they're almost all dedicated. We just broke 1,100 posts with 17 people online at 1am est. haha
We need to start putting together some good DIYs and FAQs. That way people can find us through search engines, check out the site, enjoy what we have to give, and stick around.

Yeah, we already have done all the Search Engine Optimization and setup and prep work for it. We've setup webs of links from other forums (through our sigs) to this site for higher indexing on google, and I've submitted this site to dozens of the most popular search engines.
Basically, we're setup on indexing, now like you said, we just need content to index.

Yeah by no means are we rivals with bmw-forums, i went on there twice today... granted one time was because i hear a girl (to rename nameless) posted her boobs on there.... turns out shirt was still on... haha thats beside the fact though, i dont have any bitterness towards bmw-forums, i was never a bmw-forums and thats all dude, granted i had 5000 posts there. I am all over every forum that covers bmw's that is what helps me to decide what will work for this site and what wont... ive seen it and lived it first hand

Word.
Does vbulitin support design themes? IE: the admin picks like 5 themes to choose from and the member can pick whichever one they like?
I'd like to make some clean layouts... like, one REALLY lightweight one for WAP phone access, a lightweight one for fast 56K browsing, a nice functional one for everyday browsing... I dunno.
One of the decisions for people to join this place is if the forum has a logical and uncluttered interface. Information overload of stupid crap you dont need to know encumbers the mind.
I still don't understand why the "edit, quote, quickreply" buttons are on the right, but the main reply button is on the far left. (i'm just blabinating)

It's a better community and just a better feeling. lol
I personally used to live on bmw-forums/bimmerw3rkzz, but I've been there only once today and that involved getting more members for United Bimmer.
Its funny you mention that b/c there has been a serious lack of activity in the lounge at werkzzz. The other tech forums seem to be about the same, but most of the top posters there are over here now too
