So im watching Hungarian news. The bird flu is already in Germany and Great Britan.
What do you guys think of all of this?
I lik ehow the US new doesnt really talk about it. Atleast not my news.

It has not mutated to crossover to human/human variants and may never do so.

The humans who have died so far are in direct and constant contact with infected birds.

If it ever goes Human to human it has as good of odds to become less virulent in the same set of mutations as it does of becoming the Pandemic killer some claim it to be.

And beside that if it kills you it was your time to go anyway

Meanwhile it plays well to a large easily panicked audience who will pay anything to feel safer. Someone will get rich(er) no matter which way it turns out.

You're better off worrying about things you can control. Funny how people freak over something like Avian Flu, then go out and kill or be killed because they were driving like an idiot or something.

Like Terry said - "if you die, it was your time to go". If everything they ever warned us about kills you, I'ld be dead 10x over {with my lifestyle & schedule} They should post a warning about STUPIDITY - it's the worlds' #1 reason for death. "Exercise your brain, it's good for your health"

If you recall the flu shot shortage a couple years ago, people actually died in line from heat stroke. They died in line from something they could easily prevent, for a flu shot which may or may not have been effective against something they may not have gotten in the first place. Absolutely insane.

The bird flu will be a big deal. Not because of how many it kills, but because it will force the destruction of millions of chickens. Which will cause starvation and may actually kill more people than the bird flu. If the flu is as bad as the pandemic they say it is, it will kill 1 in 3 who get it. 6% of the population in general will get it which means 2% of the poulation as a whole will die. The number will be higher in third world countries than it is in developing countries, but overall 2%

wasnt SARS, meningitis, and a whole list of pandemics that come out every year supposed to kill 1% of the western world, come-on..... its all BS, the news needs something to report and this is it.

Everyone is looking for the next spanish flu. It will happen. We will get hit with something nasty and deadly. But we have a better understanding of these things now. We can mitigate them and minimize the impact.
