That dealership is not in touch with reality ...

They have a 98 328i vert for sale for 20 grand ... and it's not even Certified Pre-owned.

you do realize the verts are an entirely differnet beast, right?

that's actually a pretty common dealership price on the car.

Car on KBB is ~20k

No. United rips people off left and right. I quit going there when they sold my dad an oil filter for 30 bucks, even with the BMWCCA discount. I laughed at him for actually paying for it.

Maybe, but I know one can find a perfect condition m3 for that much ... and I'd rather have a m3 than a ragtop non-m.

i used to go to that dealer for service. Whyen I had my power steerig failure, I dropped the car off. I picked it up 3 days later. after a 1 hour wait, the finally brought my car out after I had been waiting in the delivery bay the entire time. They hadn't even washed it. I got the same work done at Harrison Motorsports for substantially less with a staff that actually recognizes me as a BMW enthusiast.

whoever said above that a 98 328 is worth ~$20k is nuts. my 328 sedan is worth like $10-10.5 tops, if that. i don't care if you subtract 50k miles and add $2k for the convrtbl. it's still no more than $14k, max. those guys do have high prices

Haha, yeah, United BMW is the dealership closest to my house actally. There's only two locations, both close by (one 5 minutes away from my house, one 30 minutes away), and since the majority of UB is not around this area, it's not a big deal.
