What should I buy my wife for her birthday? - United Bimmer Community

She will be turning 30, I've already bought her concert tickets, so I don't want to spend too much more, maybe a couple hundred tops. She's into movies, I thought about buying her jewelry. I'm looking for something unique. I will take any serious suggestions.

I'm afraid she'll confuse it with a gift for me. Sorta like the bowling ball with homer's name on it. But good suggestion.

Hum, do something sweet, but cheap. Material possessions aren't everything. For her 30th, maybe buy 30 roses, and lay them around home and where she works for her to find throughout the day. Like one in the bathroom when she first wakes up, one on the table when she goes downstairs for breakfast, etc. When she leaves work, get there before she gets off and leave one or two under her windshield wiper. At the end of the day, have her find 29, and when she gets home stand there in the door holding the 30th to hand to her yourself.

DVDs (I don't know if you have a collection or not, but 10-15 of her favorite DVDs would be cool)
Upscale dinner/dessert place (icecream or whatever she likes), maybe cook it yourself (brownies with icecream, cake and icecream, etc.)
Go out and watch a movie at a movie theatre/rent a movie (eat with popcorn, firelight by fireplace)

Does she need something "new"
Bedspread, drapes, carpet, couch, kitchen area, house wares, etc.

Bigger rock on her ring.
Jewellery?

Just ideas.

Spa..... women love the spa. Or like Harry said a special evening ending in a massage for your wife and the oil. That should be nice as well.

Sounds like a lot of work, but I think it is a good start.

I'm not digging the whole bear thing, but I may consider it. I know she loves to get junk at work so that everyone can see that she gets stuff, so this may work out. I'll call it plan B for the moment.
